New Kadampa Tradition
Kadampa Buddhism is an ancient
Buddhist tradition that is making Buddha's teachings and meditation
practices available to thousands of people throughout the world.
First introduced to the West by Venerable
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1977, there are now over 1000 Kadampa
Buddhist centres worldwide with local teachers, introductory classes,
structured study programs and meditation retreats.
The Kadampa Buddhism of the New
Kadampa Tradition is an entirely independent Buddhist tradition
and has no political affiliations.
